Overview

To celebrate Petrobrás' half-century as one of Brazil's largest and most influential energy companies, Merun Filmes teamed up with InVídeo and N4Filmes, under the direction of Rafael Morbeck, through the renowned InPressPNI agency in São Paulo. The project took the team to the capital city, Brasília, to capture footage of the historic first Petrobrás gas station. But this isn't just a commemorative video - it's a visual tribute, charting the company's evolution and transformation over the years, represented by the meticulous renovation of this iconic station.

Challenges & Accomplishments

Condensing a half-century of history into one video was a mammoth task. The station - as a historic landmark - carries within its structure the living memory of the company's journey. Aerial hyperlapse footage was used to depict the renovation of the station, adding dynamism and a stunning visual impact to the film. Capturing this process in motion, combined with the deep narrative of Petrobrás, required an innovative and meticulous approach. Partnering with N4Filmes brought an added element of expertise and quality to the production. However, under Rafael Morbeck's direction, the team managed to distill fifty years of innovation, challenges, and successes into a moving video.

The Result

The final product is a cinematic masterpiece that not only celebrates Petrobrás' 50th anniversary but also celebrates its legacy and ongoing contribution to Brazil. The video merges nostalgia with a contemporary vision, showcasing the company's progress and commitment to the future. With the aerial hyperlapse footage, viewers are taken on a visually stunning journey from the early days of Petrobrás to the present. This production, enriched by N4Filmes' collaboration, serves as a testament to Petrobrás' resilient and visionary spirit and its indelible mark on Brazil's energy landscape.
